Where to find the Pattern for Scrubby-O's
Go to Bethany Daily's site to get the pattern for these scrubbies. They are made on a loom with cotton and tulle. They are fun to make and she has three videos of how to do it, you can work along side of the videos until you finish. Her site is: http://gettinitpegged.com/ and the pattern is under the title 'My Goodies for you' at the bottom so scroll down to find it.
These work very well in the kitchen but also in the shower to exfoliate your skin. They are machine wash and dry too. You can get colored tulle at Hobby Lobby and at Joann's and she shows you how to prepare it in the video's too. The cotton is any kitchen cotton like the type to make dishcloths with.

Howdy

I haven't posted again since it has been a crazy and very busy summer. I have been cleaning, knitting, mowing, mowing and mowing. Did I say the grass has been very green?? It has been raining a bunch and then very hot on the non-rainy days. 100 then rain, 100 then rain. One storm brought 70 mile per hour sheer winds and now we need a new roof and electrical work due to the water seeping in the light fixtures inside. A friend had a bad accident this summer and I went over and stayed there a while taking care of her 13 year old daughter while she was still in the Hospital. That and cooking have been a big thing this year. Normally I don't cook in the summer, only BBQ or quick light meals. This summer is cook and cook some more. I am not losing the weight I should due to this either. I haven't finished much craft wise, but I do have projects in the works. I did finally work on some kitchen scrubby-O's and made 4 so far. I love this pattern so look for some as gifts. Here are two pictures of the few I've done so far (above).

Mid May update 2009
Just checking in. It has been raining almost non stop since before Easter. We had floods and bad storms. Today is the first cool and clear and sunny day in a long time. I don't wish for the 100 degree days but the flooding made me feel moldy. I need to clean my house very badly. Fly lady got me started but I need a quick swift kick in the butt to get going again. I'm almost done with the yard and then it can sit for a while with no work involved. I may even get the last of the plants in this week if the spongy ground dries a little bit. I still need some Saint Augustine sod but that will get done whenever it does. No pictures today, I haven't done anything creative in a while. I made three dishcloths but that was it. My oldest son and his wife bought their first house last week. I can't wait to see it inside. Then comes the four letter words-pack, move and work. Yuck!! I hope I won't have to do much since they will get to move in sometime at the beginning of July, very hot by then. Maybe I'll get in one last cool swim at his apartment before they turn in the keys. At least that would be a reward if I have to work hard moving boxes and stuff with my truck.

Easter update
Well Easter has come and gone again. We have been having storms and then warm days and then cool. It can't make up its mind right now. I like the moderate days though so it won't get extremely hot so quickly. I had two big dinners to cook for on Easter and now it is Wednesday and I've finally recuperated. I'm just getting to old for all this. I made everyone promise that next year is a Sunday out for a change.
I haven't loomed in a week with all the other stuff going on but I have cleaned out some stuff and knitted half of a cloth. I joined a new group on Ravelry called 'Cloth of the Week'. It is so neat and you can make many of them and then make an afghan later or just give cloths for gifts. I like this idea. I'll want to make them all just like the looming patterns and I hope I don't get myself to worked up over not being able to do them all. I'm going to try and make them all from cotton if possible. I've done so many other fibers that cotton will be a change. I'll post a picture when it is done.

sampler scarf

Here are the pictures of my sampler scarf from loom class by Robin McCoy. I took pictures of each section. The 1x1 and 2x2 ribs are the same front and back. Otherwise all the sections have two pictures. This scarf took one week to knit while I was sick and not doing more than one section a day. It is a good way to learn new stitches. Thank you Robin.
